150x150 images: palaistraolympia.jpgThe CHS and the Harvard Alumni Association offer educational journeys through the Greek world to Harvard Alumni seeking a stimulating travel experience. These programs are designed and led by Gregory Nagy and his colleagues at the CHS and operated by the Harvard Alumni Association and its partners. Participants experience the history of Greek language and culture through on-site visits, selected readings from original literature, and Professor Nagy's lectures. For more information on current Harvard Alumni Association trips, please see the HAA travel page.

Journey of Odysseus, June 4-17, 2005

Professor Gregory Nagy and guest lecturers led Harvard alumni in a journey retracing the steps of Odysseus through the Ancient Mediterranean. This unique itinerary began in Turkey and visited some of the most lovely and poetic sites of Greece, Sicily, and the Amalfi coast of Italy. Professor Nagy and the travelers explored such legendary places as Priam's kingdom and the Land of the Laestrygonians.
